What is Voices of Youth? Voices of YOUth is focused on providing students ages 14 to 21 information regarding their community and beyond. The newspaper will provide a forum for communication, give students a voice in civic life and foster critical thinking, writing skills and literacy. In addition to giving youth a voice, we are also highlighting positive actions of youth in the Philadelphia area. Youth who are succeeding in school, volunteering in the city, starting a business or just being a positive influence to another will be included in the paper and online. Who is the target audience?Readers of Voices of YOUth will include middle school, high school and college students. A strong secondary readership should emerge among educators and business professionals interested in the issue. The ContentEach issue of Voices of YOUth will include editorial features, news, fashion, opinion, sports, entertainment, humor, comics, distant voices, national news and letters.
